För mig är Adrienne = We are teaching our pupils to think. The question we ask ourselves is – how can we make this happen? What exactly is “effective literacy instruction”?

2020-08-18 Using Adrienne Gear‘s Non-Fiction Reading Power we have been learning to distinguish between quick and deep thinking questions. For our purposes here – quick questions are questions that we find the answer to (often down the page or a page or two later), where there is only one answer and where once we know the answer, our thinking stops. 2021-04-08 Inspired by Adrienne Gear's Powerful Understanding, these 4 templates are perfect for older students to get practiced in writing more powerful text-to-self connections. They can be used with picture books, short stories, novel studies, lit circles, etc. There are 4 templates provided:- Passing Down Writing Power.
